Fisheries Infrastructure Support Program for Coastal Developing Countries (ODA Program)

KOFCC began the Fisheries Infrastructure Support Project for Coastal Developing countries, as part of the ODA program, in 2006 as the need to support the coastal states arose in order to ensure sustainable utilization of the fisheries resources and secure and maintain the fishing grounds overseas for our distant water fishing industry.

The main focus of our supports centers on those coastal states where many Korean businesses actively operate. Since 2017 we have provided our supports in the form of infrastructure projects where fisheries relevant facilities such as fish markets are designed and installed for the people of the coastal states, after 11 years of in-kind support provision including sea water pumps and aquaculture water tanks from 2006 to 2016.
